More About My Teaching

I first became a teacher in 1991 while living in Hong Kong, where I worked at an international school. I taught high school English and art. After moving back to the States, I worked at a private elementary school in Santa Monica, CA.

In 2000, my family relocated to Florida, where I became an educational consultant at the River School for three years and then, in 2004, co-founded The Willow School, a private K-8 school in Vero Beach, FL where I served as the Executive Director until 2013.

We began The Willow School with a line-of-credit on my house, and opened the doors (despite two hurricanes that fall) with 11 children.

Now the school has capacity for over 100 children and a budget of $1M.

Since then, I've enjoyed using my teaching skills in other ways.
