Do you sometimes have that nagging thought, the one that hounds you and tells you there's something wrong with you?
The thought that says if you were somehow different, life would be easier. You'd get the perfect soul mate, be abundantly wealthy, in great shape, have your perfect career...
Yes, that thought.
You have it too?
But what if it wasn't true?
What if you were perfectly made just as you are?
How would you feel?
The Course in Miracles teacher, Tom Carpenter, liked to remind us of that. He frequently said, there is nothing wrong with you.
It was one of his main teachings.
The part of us that believes we are lacking is our egos, our personalities, our self perception. That's where we feel flawed, imperfect.
But when we remember that there is another part of us, the part that is identified with love, with joy, with truth, and with God, that part of us is always whole.
And that is actually who we really are.
So the next time you hear those words, "what's wrong with you?" remember that it's the WRONG question!
Because there is absolutely nothing wrong with you, holy child of God. You are made in the image of love.
Breathe that truth into yourself and feel it expand. Allow the truth of who you are to radiate out into the world.
The invitation is to love and accept yourself exactly as you are.
